Welcome!
This is a blog about Storm. Storm is an 8-year-old albino Doberman who was rescued, with 12 other dogs, from an animal hoarder in July 2012. At the time of his rescue he weighed under 50lbs. and had been nearly broken by his abuse. This blog is about his journey back. I hope it is positive and inspiring. Dogs have an uncanny way of letting go and moving forward, something I wish humans could do more easily.
We wouldn’t have a thing to write about if not for the great work of the Humane Society. The wonderful folks at the Broome County Humane Society believed in this dog, cared for him and loved him, and waited months for his forever family to find him. They do this for countless animals every day with little recognition and even less compensation. Next time you drive by your local shelter, drop off some cat litter, or old towels. Who knows, you might bring a little furry something home with you, too.
